Do Not Pay

Do Not Pay (DNP) provides one-stop, no cost access to relevant data sources for verifying payment and award eligibility. Federal agencies use DNP’s accurate and actionable information to catch fraud and other improper payments before they occur. Federally funded state-administered programs we support include Medicaid, Temporary Aid to Needy Families, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and many others.

You can use the DNP portal to search for a single person or entity, perform batch searches, and set up regular monitoring for specific individuals or entities. Data sources in DNP cover a wide range of eligibility verification needs, including:

For a complete list of data sources, visit the DNP website.

The DNP Working System is authorized and governed by the Payment Integrity Information Act of 2019 (PIIA), and several Office of Management and Budget (OMB) memoranda and circulars. OMB has delegated the operation of the DNP Working System to the Department of the Treasury.
